As an ally and executive sponsor of the L3Harris Pride Employee Resource Group (ERG), I have the privilege of joining members and allies of the LGBTQ+ community in celebrating Pride Month. This is more than just a time to celebrate, however. It’s a time to reflect on the progress made and the need to continue driving awareness and change.
One of our company’s core values is Respect. To live that value means to have an inclusive mindset. An inclusive mindset creates an environment where everyone can be who they are and feel like they belong.
As L3Harris celebrates Pride month, we celebrate all those who have and continue to work toward inclusivity in all aspects of our lives: at home, in our communities and at work. At this particular time, the imperative for inclusivity and respect has never been more evident as we struggle to make sense of the tragic death of George Floyd and others – no matter your racial, political, religious or other identity, the events of the past several days cannot be ignored. During Pride month and beyond, let us call on each other to continue raising awareness, taking action and partnering with the LGBTQ+ community in support of equal rights and recognition for all.
