David HydeSenior Director, Civil Aviation Strategy, Innovation & Environmental Affairs

David Hyde is the Senior Director of Civil Aviation Strategy, Innovation & Environmental Affairs at the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA). In this role, he works with AIA members to develop strategies and advocate for policies that support a safe, efficient, and sustainable civil aviation sector and the long-term growth of the U.S. commercial aerospace industry.

Hyde rejoined AIA from the World Economic Forum, where he spearheaded multiple global initiatives to accelerate the deployment of new technologies within the aviation industry, including electric and hydrogen-powered aircraft, Advanced Air Mobility, and autonomous flight. Prior to his first spell at AIA, Hyde started his career in aviation at the UK Department for Transport, where he was responsible for various policies related to aviation noise and airspace modernization.

Hyde holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Southampton, a Master of Science in Global Politics from Birkbeck College, University of London, and an MBA from the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School.
