Jacob Wood is the Senior Coordinator for Civil Aviation, Engineering & Space Programs at the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA), supporting initiatives across AIA’s Civil Aviation, Space Systems, and Engineering & Technology divisions.
Before joining AIA, Wood served as a Senior External Affairs Associate at Penta Group, where he supported the firm’s research division through stakeholder engagement across the public and private sectors. He previously held roles with the American Association of Port Authorities, J Street, and various political campaigns and advocacy groups, building experience in government relations, data management, and legislative affairs.
Wood holds a Master of Professional Studies in Political Management with a concentration in Global Politics from George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management. He previously earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and Public Policy, concentrating in Security Policy, from the Elliott School of International Affairs. During his graduate studies, he co-founded and served as president of the Graduate School of Political Management Student Association and was a board member of the university’s Pi Sigma Alpha Political Science Honor Society chapter.
