Remy Nathan is the Senior Vice President for Policy at the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA), leading AIA’s policy portfolio spanning national security, civil aviation, space systems, international affairs, and engineering & technology. He works closely with AIA leadership to develop, integrate, and execute cross-division and enterprise-level activities and initiatives. He also serves as the Secretary of the Aerospace Industries Association.
Nathan previously led the AIA International Affairs Division, where he organized and conducted several successful advocacy campaigns, resulting in significant improvements to the U.S. export control system. He also launched an ongoing global industry ethics initiative, the International Forum on Business Ethical Conduct (IFBEC), and worked to preserve a level playing field and promote market access for the aerospace and defense industry.
Before joining AIA in 2003, Nathan supported U.S. companies active in Malaysia and worked with the Defense Working Group of the US-ASEAN Business Council.
Nathan holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Government and Foreign Affairs and China Studies from the University of Virginia and a master’s degree in International Economics and Southeast Asian Studies from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
