Sherry Epperson is responsible for managing the operations associated with AIA’s participation in international trade shows and addressing issues of potential foreign military sales. Epperson coordinates with AIA member companies through the International Exhibition Committee as well as with Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) to determine support requirements for each show and negotiates with the air show management and U.S. and foreign firms to obtain the necessary support. Epperson works with DSCA and Six Sigma advisors on the development of efficient methods and processes for air and trade show participation. She is responsible for building the presentations for Tradeshow 101, instructing both AIA member companies and U.S. Government (USG) agency employees on methods to adhere to USG guidance on ethics and the review of new rules pertaining to conference participation for USG employees as they relate to the tradeshows. She also works with DSCA general counsel and COCOM attorneys on methods to request and secure approval for tradeshow participation and the acceptance of support from non-USG entities.

Epperson has over 25 years’ experience in event management and coordination and was co-owner of Cardinali’s Catering, a firm that specialized in providing security cleared waitstaff for high end events in the Washington, D.C. area.

Epperson has an associate’s degree in liberal arts with a focus on accounting and a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a focus on organizational psychology and management from the University of Maryland.
