The Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) joined industry partners in urging Congress to reauthorize the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs. A lapse in authorization has already led to cancelled awards and funding disruptions, putting innovation, small businesses, and the aerospace and defense industrial base at risk. AIA stresses that timely reauthorization is critical to sustaining U.S. technological leadership, strengthening supply chains, and supporting domestic manufacturing.
