Gery Mras is the Director of Life Cycle Management at the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA). Reporting to AIA’s Technical Operations division, Gery manages the strategic pursuits for the AIA Engineering Management Committee, Product Support Committee, Quality Assurance Committee, Counterfeit Parts Policy Working Group, DCMA/ IAQG/ AAQG Joint Strategic Quality Council and represents US interests on the two international councils who govern the development of the S-Series specifications. He represents approximately 350 AIA member companies on technical issues and policies to ensure the Aerospace & Defense Industry remains resilient in an ever-changing global market economy.

Gery joined AIA in 2013 after acquiring 25 years of experience working in the aerospace industry. Assuming the responsibilities of a Product Development Manager, he’s credited for the design, manufacturing, test and deployment of multiple maintenance, weapons tactics and electronic warfare training systems and flight simulators for the US military.  Gery held several engineering management positions supporting the evaluation and on-boarding enterprise business solutions, capture of new business pursuits and contributed to a variety of Kaizen, lean blackbelt events. During corporate mergers and acquisitions, Gery contributed to several transition teams to evaluate the alignment and harmonization of technical capabilities and capacity across the newly formed enterprise.

Gery received a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology and completed continuing education courses at George Washington University specializing in the area of optics and optomechanics.
