Gery Mras is the Director of Life Cycle Management at the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA). In this role, Mras manages strategic initiatives for AIA’s Engineering Management Committee, Product Support Committee, Quality Assurance Committee, Counterfeit Parts Policy Working Group, and the DCMA/IAQG/AAQG Joint Strategic Quality Council. He also represents U.S. interests on two international councils that govern the development of the S-Series specifications. Mras represents approximately 350 member companies on technical issues and policies, ensuring that the aerospace and defense industry remains resilient in an ever-changing global market.

Mras joined AIA in 2013, bringing with him 25 years of experience in the aerospace industry. As a Product Development Manager, he was credited with the design, manufacturing, testing, and deployment of multiple maintenance, weapons tactics, and electronic warfare training systems, as well as flight simulators for the U.S. military. He has held several engineering management positions, supporting the evaluation and onboarding of enterprise business solutions, capturing new business opportunities, and contributing to various Kaizen and lean black belt events. During corporate mergers and acquisitions, Mras was involved in transition teams that evaluated and harmonized technical capabilities and capacity across the newly formed enterprise.

Mras holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology and has completed continuing education courses at George Washington University, specializing in optics and optomechanics.
